MAP is a global education and talent initiative that unites top artists and media professionals from diverse backgrounds to inspire creative approaches to conflict transformation and peacebuilding.
MAP’s story began with my curiosity about the impact of media and arts on peace and conflict, propelled by a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Fletcher School. This exploration led to the creation of MAP under Honey& in 2016, starting a mission to leverage creativity for peace.
MAP’s journey has showcased the incredible potential of creative collaboration. It has evolved from a foundational thesis to impactful university courses, and further into an independent initiative and a standalone business.
In 2018, MAP expanded its reach through the launch of an online course led by Honey Al Sayed, developed in collaboration with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), translating its core ideas into a global digital learning experience. Partnerships with prestigious institutions across the United States and internationally have continued to enrich this evolution.
The pandemic in 2020 ushered in a period of introspection and realignment, bringing MAP back to its core ethos within Honey&. Despite numerous challenges, the steadfast support of collaborators such as Iyad Kallas has been instrumental in sustaining the work and extending its impact across the United States, Europe, and the MENA region.
I am deeply thankful to everyone who has joined us on this journey. Our partners’ trust, support, and creativity have been the backbone of MAP’s growth and relevance.
We now move forward with a new venture that builds on MAP’s legacy while opening new pathways in creative entrepreneurship. Thank you to all who have been part of this story. Together, we have sparked a movement rooted in art, education, and peace, with more chapters still to be written.
